Coggeshall Town continued their 100% start to the season with a comprehensive 6-0 win against Ipswich Wanderers on Saturday. Josce Syrett scored twice for the SeedGrowers, whose next game is on Saturday at home to Felixstowe & Walton United. The Seasiders also have a 100% league record following a 2-1 home success against Godmanchester Rovers. Miles Powell scored both goals with Felixstowe’s improved support continuing with an attendance of 226.

Meanwhile, Thetford Town have slipped into second place in the Premier Division table after winning 2-0 at FC Clacton. Tanner Call and Robbie Priddle scored the goals. Histon remain unbeaten despite being held 2-2 at home by previously pointless Kirkley & Pakefield with Lee Smith scoring both goals for the Stutes. Another unbeaten side are Walsham le Willows whose four games so far have all been away because of ground unavailability. Next up for Paul Smith’s side is a trip to 100% Haverhill Rovers next Saturday.

Wivenhoe Town gained their first points of the season after leaving Fakenham Town, still to open their account, with a 2-1 success.

Woodbridge Town maintained the pace at the top of the First Division after beating Downham Town 4-0 with Halstead Town now second after overcoming previously 100% Whitton United 2-0. Holland FC, who had been second, came unstuck 4-0 at King’s Lynn Town Reserves. However, the really eye-catching result was Little Oakley 10 Team Bury 1. It was the Essex side’s first ever Thurlow Nunn League points with 4 goals from Robert Pratt and a hat trick from Harry Mann.
