There will be three Thurlow Nunn League sides playing in the Fourth Round of the FA Vase on January 5th 2019, and two of those will be playing at home.

In today’s draw Histon and Godmanchester Rovers were both in the North section and handed home ties against Midland League opposition, while the winners of the Stowmarket Town v. Swaffham Town replay were in the South Section and will visit either Tring Town or Biggleswade. Those two teams sit first and second in the Spartan South Midlands League and drew 1-1 on Saturday, replaying next Saturday. Biggleswade have already knocked Norwich CBS out of this season’s Vase competition while Tring Athletic eliminated Ely City from the 2016/17 competition.

Histon’s opponents are Lye Town from Stourbridge in the West Midlands. Lye last reached this stage of the competition in the 1995/96 season and are currently 13th in the Midland League, but with a better away than home record. Godmanchester entertain Sporting Khalsa, from Willenhall, near Wolverhampton. They play on a 3G pitch and are 6th in the Midland League, having already played six Vase ties this season. They reached the quarter finals of the FA Vase in 2016/17, winning 3-0 at Ely City en route.

Winners of these Fourth Round matches will receive £1.875 and will then be in the final 16.
